Backtagging: Yes! In PSLs I can backtag forever. However in games I would prefer to reach or handwave a conclusion to development or plot relevant interactions within a month or two.
Threadjacking: yes, but if it's a serious thread ask me first.
Offensive subjects: I'm honestly good with pretty much anything in text, but I appreciate warnings for terminal illness or extreme gore.

Hugging this character: if you really want to, but he might stab the initiator.
Kissing this character: if you really want to, but he might stab the initiator, make disgusting attempts at flirting or decide they're his person now (and bring them the heads of their enemies as a gift).
Flirting with this character: WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO. Depending on the context, he might brush it off or return it! He can be fairly charming when he wants to, and he's convinced that he's the hottest shit to walk this earth so he pretty much preens under positive attention, pleased that everything is right in the world. Your character is absolutely free to find that insufferable and let him know about it.
Fourthwalling: if it's IC for the character, go ahead, but he probably won't believe it or write it off as some weird alternate timeline shenanigans (yes those exist).
Offensive subjects: looking down on him, looking down on Xanxus, saying anything disrespectful about either of them, bringing up either of theirs losses, Yamamoto losing a fight, making fun of his hair, etc, etc. (This can be funny though, so feel free to rile him up.)
Hitting this character: Punch him all you want, he's used to it! But he'll likely retaliate.
Fighting with this character: YES DEFINITELY. He loves fighting, whether it's trying to kill someone, flirting or just letting off steam. It's also super easy (and often entertaining) to rile him up. Some humorous mutual swatting is always fine without asking, though being petty as he is he might try to fight dirty (feel free to return the favor!)
For serious confrontations, IF your character is not a fighter themselves, do consider that while Squalo is not considered outrageously strong in-universe, he is still a professional assassin. That doesn't mean he'll win all or even most fights, in fact he frequently sabotages himself by underestimating his enemies in canon, and I will obviously respect your permissions and preferences -- but I'd prefer to keep the characters' skill levels somewhat intact. Well, unless it would be funny (so Jeremy from accounting probably isn't going to win a sword duel with him, but I might agree to him knocking Squalo out with a surprise vase to the head anyway if it gives me a giggle).
I'm happy to discuss or RNG results for similarly matched characters, and obviously someone more powerful can clap his cheeks if applicable. If unsure about a specific interaction, feel free to ask!
Injuring this character: Sure! He's pretty sturdy. If you want to go for permanent damage though, talk to me first please.
Killing this character: Maybe! For no-perma-death settings I'm usually game, and I might consider it in a permadeath game if there's an interesting plot to come with it, but please always ask first.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Tentative yes, but please give me a heads-up first, especially if it's something that would result in a massive reveal or plot twist. He's got a pretty strong will and can see right through most illusions in-canonverse.

Squalo has something (a superpower, if you may) called RAIN FLAMES. It's basically like a magical elephant tranquilizer. Depending on the amount of Flame he uses, he can soothe, calm down, numb or paralyze another character's magic and/or body parts (pretty much at will, but contact with the Flame is needed). Keep that in mind and let me know if you don't want to be subjected to it, or only want him to use it to a certain extent. He can only summon it from his right hand, as the other is artificial (although he can then extend it to the other), and to do it properly he needs a special focus ring on (those aren't unique in his world, but the rarer ones of course means greater power).
The flames obviously have effect upon contact, but he can also make it have range - he can coat weapons including his sword in it, extending the actual Flame past the length of the weapon, or create protection - sort of shield-like "bubbles" or walls inside of which all opposing magical energy is negated, in other words, he can make it be an area of effect that is shown to grow big enough to cover several other people.
Having the ring also allows him to summon a FLYING SHARK in varying size, entirely covered in Rain Flames. It can serve both as a way to transport the Flames (and therefore their effects) out of his reach, and as a fighting unit of its own - the shark's got great strength and damage abilities both due to the jaws and extremely sharp skin, and is durable enough to double as a battering ram, capable of taking down walls at full size. It can act on its own, though it doesn't necessarily display a unique personality and is considered to be more of a manifestation of the owner's will than a full-fledged companion/pet/Pokemon.
NOTE: not applicable for power-nerf games or non-canon AUs, obviously.

He's a rude, foul-mouthed bag of dicks who works as a murderer and loves every moment of it. There's a whole bunch of potentially uncomfortable things that might happen or come up around him:
LANGUAGE AND ENTITLEMENT. He cusses a lot, in different languages, with no regards to others' sensibilities. Most of what he says is profanity is some way. He may also use derogatory terms or show certain sexist tendencies, though I don't expect it to come up in most cases. He's also extremely overconfident, disrespectful to most people and blunt about what he wants.
MURDER AND VIOLENCE. He's a mafia hitman and murder is his bread and butter. He is able to kill and harm easily and indiscriminately - doesn't matter if it's an enemy, a civilian, a child, a parent, etc. While he displays certain psychopathic tendencies he does also follow his own code of honor and usually doesn't try to kill people who aren't his officially sanctioned targets (unlike some of his subordinates), but he does have a hair trigger and is unlikely to be kindly to someone who repeatedly pisses him off, especially if they can't back it up in a fight, though he may simply resort to intimidation tactics in such a case.
ABUSE. His relationship with Xanxus can strongly resemble domestic violence at times. Moreover, despite occasionally raging about it he seems to think it's perfectly normal and might even actively defend the other's actions if anyone else points out that smashing your crime partner's face into desks and walls is not cool.
AMPUTATION. When younger, he's chopped off his left hand from the wrist to replace it with a high-tech prosthetic. While obvious upon touch, it rarely if ever comes off. If it does happen, however, yeah, there will be a stump. He doesn't usually tell the tale unprompted but he doesn't hide it either, so ask at your own risk.
DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR. It's more of a certain disregard for his own life, rather than actual suicidality, but he often lacks the instinct of self-preservation and is ready to go down in flames as long as it seems fun or benefits Xanxus. He also sort of glorifies death as a way to restore/preserve one's honor, as seen when he refuses help after losing a battle and lets himself get swallowed by a giant motherfucking shark instead, all as an attempt to keep his head high despite the defeat.
GENERALLY A HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING. It goes for most of the Varia; they have very few if any morals, think dying people are funny, and would kick a woman/child/puppy with no second-guessing it. They don't care about their feelings about it either. Approach with caution.

If you don't want to deal with Squalo for whatever reason, it's perfectly fine! I want everyone to be comfortable. Just please let me know so I don't end up tagging you myself.
If you're giving him a chance but there are certain aspects of him you'd like to avoid, or would like your character to be immune to the K.O. power of Rain Flames, feel free to name it and I'll do my best to accommodate!
Here's a handy form, but if you prefer you can just say the thing however you want:
