Varia in Little Hades
A relatively new local “business”, the Varia offers a multitude of services for those willing to part with enough cash.
- information extortion and trafficking,
- acquiring of various demon organs and body parts,
- finding people and beating them up or delivering your revenge (torture or making someone sleep with the fire fishes available),
- intermediating between you and smugglers,
- hiring “freelancer” criminals for you,
- offering “protection” for your club or business (this one they might contact you themselves about),
- getting that annoying hellcop off your trail,
- other less than legal affairs.
They’re also offering smuggling services themselves, focusing on ice cream, sweets and top shelf booze. Because a secret ice cream parlor in a frozen over Hell is what serious mafiosos do. They will, however, consider other requests as well, as long as you pay for it.
Now here's the fun part! By outsourcing Varia, you can get smuggled goods at discounted OOC/hellbuck prices. This is especially relevant to those who do not possess Reaping Gloves of their own. Of course, that means that your character must be willing to pay the Varia IC money/dracos for it, but the exact amounts can be handwaved. Request your goods here! *

"Lackey" is an entry level position available to people who aren't trustworthy or otherwise ~Varia Quality~ (which includes being awesome, knowing 7 languages and a lot of ways to kill). A handy job application can be found here.
Varia are rather eccentric employers, although they pay well and are generaly very accepting of any and all quirks despite being arrogant hobags with little patience for imperfection or disloyalty. Granted, most of the time lackeys won't be tasked with crucial jobs, but they'll still be expected to take responsibility for flubbing it.
While not actively hiring, they will definitely try to seek out promising agents and/or murderers and try to sway them into alliances. Also, we can never have too many ice cream dealers. Seriously.

So you don't want to work for the mob, but you'd like your own business or services to be on friendly terms with the Varia. Maybe even with mutual benefits! If that's the case, feel free to fill out an alliance request instead. Be ready for parley on the terms.

Other: Jason will approach with his face covered the entire time (see above), introducing himself only as "Red Hood." He'll be pretty affable and interested in the organization, asking questions about how to join and wondering how they managed to get such a great rep in the city. There's an undercurrent of "who'd you have to maim to become so successful" to his questions, but he seems more intrigued than resentful about it.

Currently, we're only covering the first two choices of the rewards shop - PCs have no way to reach specific, aka home worls yet. So if he wants His Specific Gun you're gonna have to purchase it the old fashioned way. D;
(The good news is I'm pretty sure it'll count as one item, though.)
Of course, he can still approach with the request ICly, in which case he'll be told that they're still working on a technology that would allow them to grab world-specific items, and refer him to a more experienced smuggler who'll be able to help him.
That aside, nobody will really bat an eye at the covered face thing. They've seen weirder, man. He'll be told that joining is pretty much filling an application and having a field test, but that everyone has to prove themselves through action before getting anything more cool than latrine duty (figuratively speaking). They won't get into much details about their rep, but mostly mention skill and hard work, possibly pointing out that they've been there over a year and have worked similar things back on the surface.

They can't get Heaven or homeworld things, but as some form of both seem to exist in various universes, it can be assumed they reaped someone from there at some point. It might not be Asgardian per se, but to a similar effect --
Keep in mind, though, Hell offers a variety of booze more than capable to make anyone drunk. You don't need to spend Hellbucks for it.

sorry to say, items from specific home worlds need to be requested straight at the mod page, as we haven't been granted permission to offer a discount on them yet. :( They're also more expensive than select items which can be found across multiple universes (e.g. sugar, fake mustache, AK-47, etc).
They could get her a walkie-talkie from non-specific universe, though. Some kind of pin is doable too. But it wouldn't be the one she died with.
